Christmas is just around the corner and we hope you are organised for the festive season (or not, if you are like me!). If you have your Christmas campervan holiday booked, we wish you well for your upcoming adventure. But if you can project your mind into the New Year, did you know that now is a great time to consider booking in your Easter campervan hire holiday? We give you 5 great reasons to book in your campervan hire for Easter 2011 now.
In 2011, the Easter period in Australia and New Zealand is from Friday 22 to Monday 25 April. This also coincides with Anzac Day on Monday 25 April. This means that the holiday period is stretched over 5 days (accounting for public holidays) from Monday 22 to Tuesday 26 April. So there’s no better time (or excuse) to take that campervan holiday that you’ve been dreaming about.
Here are a few great reasons to lock in your Easter campervan rental today…
1. Early Bird Specials
Most of the campervan rental companies we work with offer early bird specials for booking your campervan hire in advance. For example, Apollo Motorhome Holidays and Cheapa Campa offer an instant 5% discount for booking at least 120 days in advance. Britz and Maui are also offering discounts for booking 120 days in advance. Not to be left out, Kea Campers are also offering the 5% early bird discount. So this means that you have until 20 December (or thereabouts) to score a great deal on your Easter holiday.
2. Campervans Will Book Out
Despite the number of campervan hire companies in Australia and New Zealand, campervans always book out over Easter. This is particularly the case for the larger 4 Berth and 6 Berth motorhomes as they are very popular with families and groups. The big motorhomes end up being an economical alternative to car hire and accommodation (especially when you can fit up to 6 people in a motorhome) so lots of people book these vehicles first. The 2 Berth campervans with shower and toilet then go next with the smaller 2 Berth campers the last to go.
3. Campervan of Choice
Apart from the price-savings and availability, booking in advance also means you get the campervan you want, rather than having to choose from what is left over. There is nothing worse than having your eye on a particular campervan only to find out that it is no longer available. So booking in advance means you get to pick from the best, rather than settling with what remains of the rest.
4. Set up Camp
Booking your campervan now means you can start planning your itinerary, and in particular, what caravan parks or campgrounds you would like to stay at. Certainly, campervan hire gives you the freedom of travelling to your own schedule, but over peak periods like Easter, it is a good idea to lock in your campsites. This is especially relevant for caravan parks near water, as many people like to escape to the beach or lakes over Easter. As a bonus, our clients receive a 10% discount at a range of caravan parks from Big 4, Top Tourist Parks and Top 10 Holiday Parks. Contact us to find out more.
5. Peace of Mind
All of these reasons to book now save you time and money, but securing your Easter campervan also gives you the peace of mind of knowing that another holiday period is taken care of. Sorted. Organised. Done! No last minute panicking and rushing around trying to figure out what to do for Easter. Since the Easter/Anzac Day break is a double-whammy in 2011, the pressure may be on to come up with a great holiday idea. So why not consider a short break in a campervan…and booking now will certainly do your bank balance some favours. Goodness knows it will need a rest after Christmas!
P.S. If you can’t get enough of campervans and are looking for last-minute rentals over Christmas, contact us today as we can still help with some availability for Christmas campervan hire.
